Novelist and Educator

When I was twelve years old, I wrote my first 80,000 words. My very first pirate novel would earn me a scholarship to the Community School of Naples, where my English teachers became my dearest friends. I have since pursued a career teaching the subject I love. I have written many novels, more than I can count, and I cannot imagine my life without books. My top ten writers who I love to read and reread are Sarah Waters, Nicola Griffith, Tracy Chevalier, Diana Gabaldon, Phillipa Gregory, Herman Melville, Charles Dickens, Emily Bronte, Christine de Pizan, and Marie de France (they span centuries!). I hold a Ph.D. in Medieval Literature and teach Composition and English in the Philadelphia region. My favorite genre remains Speculative Historical Romance.
